Council minutes 09th March 2016 Meeting opened 7.30 Present: Peter, Selwyn, Jenny, Tam, Zane, Heather, Helen, Stephen, Laura, Robyn Minutes from last meeting tabled by Laura, passed by Selwyn. --Officer Reports -Seneschal Wheels haven't fallen off, so I'm happy Website progress - Jenny is awesome. Thank you for your continuing work and support for the website bits and bobs. -Reeve February 2016 Kiwibank Account – Opening Balance $3,619.39 Payments made into account: Nil Payments made from account: Nil Balance: $3,619.39 Nil incoming or expenditure this month. Very quiet. Account Signatories - paperwork being signed soon to change from Jenny to Laura. Letterhead made up. Looks very pretty. -Marshal Spankings continue, morale has improved (no injuries, Heavy and Fencing continue regularly) -Captain of Archers Archery continues with 3-7 people regularly, new people turning up. --Events -Tapestry tour Free, ungarbed event. 6-8.30 on Tues 5th of April. There'll be a vat of chilli or similar, byo preferred condiments -DA (Selwyn) OK to announce dates that Brookfields has been booked, but bid acceptance deferred until budget has been accepted. Heather will be main cook, Barons Breakfasts are on. It'll be the weekend after Fencing fest so no fencing tourney. A&S categories expanded. -Collegium Are people ok with a week before or a week after Queens Birthday? Seems this time of year people are pretty booked. -String Day may have changed date, TBA. --General Business -Costume Cave Sale This Sunday the 13th - there is some medieval costume stuff, but mostly Anna thought people would be keen on the furs available. -Shire "useful stuff" bag ideas Laura will post on list and Facebook and see what people have to add. Laura to get prices and sizes of stuff to put in a box. -Sir Steffan Glaube will be in Auckland on the 14-16th April for the Pop Up Globe, would be keen on social/fighting time. -Still looking into dates for Days of Fun with focuses on canvas bags for Shire gear and a forge day for coat hooks. -Heather is keen to run a Feast of Critters in Late October. It will be a limited numbers feast, set menu with only vegetarians catered to. More details to come. -The Shire has had a donation of three kettle helms from Callum Forbes. Thank you! Meeting closed 7.47. POST MEETING NOTES from the Seneschal -Still can't find the first aid kit. Hopefully it'll turn up in the shire stuff when I go though it. -Collegium moved to the 9th and 10th of July. Anna has offered to deputise as it's a week before I get married and my brain may well be elsewhere. -Selwyn polished a kettle helm up, looks gorgeous. Thanks again Callum! -Patterning day 2nd April, more in future. Idea is to walk away with a fitted body block to make patterns out of. All places for fitting booked at this time. -Budget recieved for DA bid, looks good. Will table it at the next council meeting on the 13th of April. -Tahlullah coming in May, can bring some illumination kit with her. There is definite interest in her work, maybe organise a class around calligraphy and illumination?
