Events: The following events and timetable were put into our calendar for 2020: 14 March - Day of Fun – location – Elmwood; 11 April - Easter Feast in Sherwater; 9 May - Day of Fun (silk banners and Shield making) – Location - Elmwood; 13 June - Brewers Day – Location – TBA; 4-5 July – The 2nd Stabbython – location – Elmwood – details TBA; 24-26 July - Darton Anniversary – location – Camp Wainui (Coast Road, Wainuiomnata); 12 September - Day of Fun (working with hot stuff - making Portable Banner holders); Sometime in October - A Flight Shoot (still to be confirmed); 14 November - Day of Fun and War Practice; and finally 12 December - Sherwater Summer Feast. Easter Feast: Reminder that the Sherwater’s Easter Feast is happening on 11 April 2020 at the Carterton Courthouse. Upcoming Events: Darton Anniversary: Camp Wainui has been booked for 24 – 26 July 2020. They require a deposit $400 to secure the booking. Require approval to process this payment. – Approved to pay. Brookfield’s has been “pencil booked” for 20 – 22 August 2021 and for the 3rd weekend in August through to 2025. Comments: Be prepared that events may be cancelled due to the Corona Virus (Covid-19). General Business: Peter: Filming happening at the Day of Fun; Thank you everyone for volunteering to be filmed. If you don’t want to be filmed, please let the film crew know, if you are uncomfortable with what they may ask you to do – let Peter know. Suggestions that we could make for the filming was ‘hot work’ stuff such as portable holes, ground quivers. If you want to be filmed (and not working with fire), please wear garb. Catherine: The venue / Marae where the wedding was held can be easily booked for any future events where we require a flat field, a small hall, kitchen and indoor toilets, and they don’t mind tents. Costs were $100 bond and $400 for 2 days of hire. Downside – cannot put up any hall decorations. Meeting closed.
