Wheels still on.
Festival was fun.
There were two meetings of interest to me at Festival - a Senechals meeting to speak about crown events and spending, (thank you Aliena for going in my stead), and a meeting on recruitment and retention.
Seneschals meeting - Kingdom Seneschal is implementing a plan to try and get groups spending surplus funds earned by the group on the group. That is, if we make a profit over the year, we invest that profit into the group in the form of stuff or training to better the group.
Recruitment and retention - this was more of a discussion to see what worked well for various groups. Gilbert took notes as to the ideas raised. The one that stuck out most for me was that the Armageddon equivalent worked well as a recruitment opportunity for some groups

Not much fighting happening, but we fight, we fence, no new owies.

Archery has not happened much as weather and health.
The Shire won first and second place at Saint Sebastian's.
7 May archery event is in the works.

Festival was fun! Kjartan was recognised named a Chireougeon Emeritus, and Járnulfr won the advanced section of the capsule wardrobe competition for a Viking trader on the York-Hedeby-Kaupang route.


Coronation is in July, book now! Please note, accommodation needs to be booked privately.


Darton Anniversary 25-27 August. Book now, book often!

Sword symposium (non sca) is in October. It'll be a fun event with *amazing* food.

Madeleine would like to organise an a&s event to prepare for CF in June (I know Coronation is sooner but two weeks to CF!)

Still to explore shipping costs. Bernard to investigate shipping costs from tent Smithns. He emailed again this evening for shipping costs. We need to think about fund raising before we want to order them.
