Next month will see the out goings for DA paid and receipts for Archery equipment purchased by the Captain of Archers presented

In the past month 5 of our fencers from Darton along with a fencer from Southeron Guard travelled to Willoughbyvale (Ipswich) to further our study of the arts of defence.
During this time Ulf attained the rank of Free Scholar in the Guild of Defence
Talk to the fencing Marshal's about your c&t hand protection
Beyond that no injuries to my knowledge


    -Captain of Archers - Luan
More people showing up to weekly practice.
Meeting with Hutt Council next month to set up a lease for the park
New targets finished
Competition once a month will be the weekend before Hamlet day (if we get the numbers)
Please talk to Luan about applying as new Captain of archers.

Nothing to report. Keeping in touch with the college.


   - Herald - Bernard
Fiora has applied for permission to conflict for the populace badge. In the instance we are not granted permission, she has proposed an alternative, which is  - a fieldless gold hunting horn in a gold ring.
Will chat to Miles about the West Heralds.
Should we register the above anyway if the group can have more than one populace badge? Yes.

Recommend people for awards! People are great! TRH would like awards for DA well in advance. See how on the Herald's website.

I now have 66 people booked, so a rather larger event than expected! Everything seems under control, as far as I can tell. Still need one more pickup at the airport. Transport back to the airport is okay though.
I have an a&s competition scheduled. Do we want to make it a Darton championship?
Thanks to all my helpers, and everyone who has volunteered assistance to travellers. If you are supplying bedding etc, if you can get it to Elmwood before the Friday of the event I can pick it up with the shire gear, saving people the space. Conversely I'll drop it off there too.

*General Business:

Need approval to pay Madeleine and Helewys for storage boxes purchased on behalf of Shire after 14 July stocktake and re-sort of the shire gear.
Luan proposed, Kazamera seconded, no objections.

Inventory day went really well.
Thanks to Robyn for making it go, and to everyone when lent a hand.
Helms were sandblasted and painted black by Peter - he has suggested we paint them to make them pretty.
Also suggested getting desiccant bags for the garb chests so the clothes smell less musty. He will research costs and workability

Sherwater now listed on the SCANZ site.

Sword symposium 2019 is in the works!
